Cheryl joined PHD as a volunteer in the Baby and Maternity Closet in October of 2010, and joined the staff as Co-Manager of Baby Closet in September, 2011. Cheryl comes with a BS degree from UW- LaCrosse. She was a teacher for 9 years, and has worked with various non-profit organizations. She was President of Newcomers Club for 2 yrs., served as PTA president for 2 yrs., and program director with PTA for 6 yrs. She has also worked with a landscaping company, as a realtor’s assistant, an office manager, and a gymnastics coach.
Cheryl helps to oversee the 45 volunteers in the BC, conducts inventory and check-in of items needed to keep the BC running smoothly to provide PHD clients and their babies with the basic necessities of formula, diapers, baby food, clothing, shampoo, wipes, as well as maternity clothes and layettes for new babies. Other responsibilities include communicating with and speaking to various organizations about PHD’s mission. These organizations provide PHD with baby showers, various drives, assist-a family during the holidays, and all of the donations to support PHD clients. Cheryl and her husband Bill have been happily married for 37 years, and have three daughters.
