Intervention

PHD’s Intervention Services are designed to help women who are struggling with practical and emotional issues of pregnancy and raising young children. Many PHD clients live at or below the poverty level and are extremely grateful for the guidance and support they receive from PHD.

Highly-trained Volunteer Intake Coordinators and Case Managers are at the front lines to field crisis calls and greet and assess clients new to or returning to PHD. Through their efforts, women are informed about and connected to a variety of resources including PHD’s professional counseling, education and Baby & Maternity Closet. Our volunteers also provide a vast array of community linkages and work with families to become self sufficient as they navigate the waters of pregnancy and parenting.

PHD’s professional counseling covers the areas of pregnancy, early childhood parenting, postpartum depression, sexual readiness and abstinence, grief and loss of a child, and post abortion and post adoption.
