Volunteer for Motivate

MOTIVATEPHD’s Motivate Prevention Department provides an important outlet for PHD to reach adolescents and concerned parents in our community about the issues of sex, relationships and communication.

Headed by Jane Stephen, Director of Prevention Programs, Motivate utilizes highly trained volunteers who are provided with tools to effectively relay information on current trends affecting students and their parents in an informative and engaging way.

Motivate is looking for exceptional Volunteer Presenters for all four of our prevention curricula. Our programs are delivered in various schools, homes and PTO/PTA’s throughout the northwest suburbs. If you are comfortable speaking in front of elementary, middle, and high school students and parents/adults this could be your calling.

If you believe you or someone you know has the desire, qualifications, and the commitment to make a difference in our youth’s lives, please contact Jane Stephen, Director of Prevention Programs, 847-359-8477 x28.

Desired qualifications:

  • Comfortable with public speaking and able to talk about topics such as “sex”
  • Previous teaching experience
  • Background in counseling/social work
