PHD’s Baby & Maternity Closet is a welcome service to women who are struggling to meet the needs of their family. Approximately 150 women and families visit the Closet each month to receive donations of food, diapers, formula, and clothing. In 2015, Baby Closet volunteers gave PHD 3,722 hours of their time and a total of 15,685 items were collected and distributed to clients, such as:
- Jars of Baby Food – 4,322
- Diapers (dozens) – 2,678
- Baby Clothing (bags) – 1,503
- Formula (cans) – 688
- Maternity Outfits – 127
- Baby Layettes – 100
- Coats – 242
The Baby Closet would not be possible without the help of generous community donations. Please consider a donation today! Your gift will make a positive impact on the families we serve.
Accepted Donations:
- Formula (Any; preferred is Enfamil with Iron)
- Baby food (Stages 1, 2, 3), baby cereal
- Diapers (All sizes; preferred 3, 4, 5)
- Baby wipes
- Infant and toddler clothing (Sizes 0-5)
- Baby shampoo and lotion
- Children’s books, bottles, pacifiers, blankets
- Maternity clothing
We DO NOT accept for recall and safety reasons:
- Baby furniture and equipment
- Bath tubs
- Car seats
- Cribs, Pack and Plays
- Strollers, walkers
- High chairs
- Toys or stuffed animals
