PHD serves individuals and families with children under the age of 3. We recognize that this is a crucial time in child development as their bodies and minds are growing. PHD offers Professional Counseling to individuals who are struggling with issues and emotions related to or may affect their parenting. Our Case Management services work with parents who may want general support, education, and guidance in parenting.
Clients enrolled in either Professional Counseling or Case Management have access to PHD’s Baby & Maternity Closet to help supplement their monthly purchases of diapers, clothes, and other items for their children.
Common Sense Parenting is offered to parents with toddlers and preschoolers and shows how discipline can be more about teaching than punishment and more positive than negative for both the parent and the child. This 7 week course is held at different times at PHD throughout the year. Cost is $10 for the book, which can be refunded if the book is returned one month of the final class in the condition it was purchased.
