PHD provides pregnant women with non-judgmental support and understanding through Professional Counseling, and Case Management. Our Professional Counselors work with women struggling with mental, emotional, and physical difficulties with pregnancy, as well as anxiety, depression, and other issues that may affect her overall well-being. Our Professional Counselors also offer free pregnancy tests; however, PHD is not a medical facility and we recommend following up testing with a physician.
Our Case Managers meet with women for education throughout their pregnancy to complete our layette program, which includes classes on Postpartum Depression, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), and Shaken Baby Syndrome, and provide any appropriate referrals in regards to pregnancy. Our programs also support and educate the fathers-to-be and grandparents.
